I spent the night before and day of thinking what we were doing two years ago. We could have never imagined the fun ahead. At some point I had imagined grand plans of a large celebration, but as the realities of busy lives happened, we ended up calling Patty to come over (as she is their favorite playmate), pulling frozen oatmeal zuccini brownies out of the freezer, putting a large scoop of icecream ontop with two candles each and we had two very happy boys. After a few runs of blowing the candles out, the little boys spent the rest of the night playing with their candles...the candleswent outside and in the bath. I didn't even wrap their gifts this year. I should have just left it at the candles...they were way more exciting than the toys I gave them. We love all our boys and can't imagine life without them. <br />Happy Birthday Max and Sawyer! <br /><br />***Due to the fact that I dropped my camera in the ocean, their two year old pictures were taken on a disposable camera....which hopefully, I will develop before they turn 3:)Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-13261703488360638502008-08-31T18:26:00.000-07:002008-08-31T18:26:16.205-07:00Cayucos Aug. 08<div style="MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhStzaistoG33xsCizYhS8_mIL72jsEH4z154kiFoHCBkhCnrc5uFRJ5PzW9tTOGS-0NwL5ht1_HKuqDTNqH6wUgomLXoDzxZZkQilKdwlFYkpuD9iWoDKWOKH_J48xB8Z0vUl0Wqao9AY/s1600-h/collage5.jpg"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhStzaistoG33xsCizYhS8_mIL72jsEH4z154kiFoHCBkhCnrc5uFRJ5PzW9tTOGS-0NwL5ht1_HKuqDTNqH6wUgomLXoDzxZZkQilKdwlFYkpuD9iWoDKWOKH_J48xB8Z0vUl0Wqao9AY/s400/collage5.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div><br />In August, we met the Suorsa's at Cayucos and stayed for a long weekend. The little boys have been to the coast twice before, but in the winter. This was their first time to play in the ocean. They LOVED it! Both boys went straight for the water even before we got their suits on. Unfortunately, Sawyer and I stumbled in ankle deep water and the camera went in. Therefore, theese are all the photos I have of the weekend, and I did not get any photos of Ben. Ben had a great time with Jack and Parker. He tried out the boogy board, built sandcastles, flew a kite, and searched for quite a collection of shells. We also fished off the Cayucos pier where someone caught a small fish, spent an afternoon wandering Cambria, went to an art festival in Morro Bay, took in Sacrament at the local ward, visited the elephant seals in San Simeon, and watched the people sailing on their surf boards (not sure what they call this). The highlight of the trip is the many times we saw dolphins. Evidently, there were 2 pods of dolphins just off the coast at Cayucos and we could clearly see them off the pier and as we were sitting out at the beach. There were also brown pelicans that would dive bomb into the water to catch fish....they were very fun to watch, and we saw sea otters too. This was a national geographic kind of weekend:) We had a great time.<div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-18521909601383956012008-08-31T18:11:00.000-07:002008-08-31T18:12:10.600-07:00Pepper<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkEbK9Q0Wkv5YgP4mnmhzRnwWXsqOFWsrrqUi2gt3lrRNXu0ILhfdTs_hcK2S9sCXfielwItorBxCn9bqhQ40ZT3EvldmnREsC-5fV5pUVfuizLnAl-SjKKP1mS1Z4ShFpe-znBOKidNM/s1600-h/DSCN3800.JPG"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkEbK9Q0Wkv5YgP4mnmhzRnwWXsqOFWsrrqUi2gt3lrRNXu0ILhfdTs_hcK2S9sCXfielwItorBxCn9bqhQ40ZT3EvldmnREsC-5fV5pUVfuizLnAl-SjKKP1mS1Z4ShFpe-znBOKidNM/s320/DSCN3800.JPG" border="0" /></a> Max and Sawyer are finally learning how to touch Pepper nice. I had to sacrifice the thread so I could get my work done. Just Sawyer is in this picture, but both little boys spent a lot of time stacking, unwinding, and basically just reaking havoc on my thread. But it worked as a good distraction and I got a lot of cutting done for the pillowcases.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmB1b8YXm9ev0roXBZVSOeFZ94Yt5m31MyJ9FFo8JcwTtI8mBnTBGlF2CKZ4Bocep3Xwgv1I0_DcjCfjKNG7d8rmINP7QFgDfXQCtrR2eRJOIHa7QoXufad1Gf-e_VmqjlOpVPfyU0oEk/s1600-h/DSCN3799.JPG"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmB1b8YXm9ev0roXBZVSOeFZ94Yt5m31MyJ9FFo8JcwTtI8mBnTBGlF2CKZ4Bocep3Xwgv1I0_DcjCfjKNG7d8rmINP7QFgDfXQCtrR2eRJOIHa7QoXufad1Gf-e_VmqjlOpVPfyU0oEk/s400/DSCN3799.JPG" border="0" /></a><div style='clear:both; text-align:LEFT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-61967898226752024452008-08-31T16:25:00.000-07:002008-08-31T16:25:07.047-07:00Max<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyWqXSlBY9PpdgHVmejPiL62KZKqRnBpSirAQ-kPGi6LpwErqHykvqGEgEWzJUrBz6T6YtwawXdJP9yEISKrQO5OXdyqvdM1Af9tvdJc9C14ZfAFILbCqHPIn7BwG3pcOh_lNeXLfycsM/s1600-h/collage2.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyWqXSlBY9PpdgHVmejPiL62KZKqRnBpSirAQ-kPGi6LpwErqHykvqGEgEWzJUrBz6T6YtwawXdJP9yEISKrQO5OXdyqvdM1Af9tvdJc9C14ZfAFILbCqHPIn7BwG3pcOh_lNeXLfycsM/s400/collage2.jpg" border="0" /></a> I was playing with the camera the other day and Max was playing with this towel. Sawyer is also very thoughtful towards Max at times, getting him something and then going back for his own. We enjoy any acts of kindness they show to one another because most of the time they are biting, fighting, pushing, and pulling hair. On this occassion it turned into a wrestling match. There were 6 boys, each one chose a book then had all the other boys over for an afternoon of doing activities based around the book. Ben's book was Dragon Slayer's Acadamy. We did an obstacle course to test our dragon hunting skills, found treasures with our toes in the bubbles, made castle and dragons, had a fabulous lunch of eel on a roll (just like they ate in the book), told really bad knock knock jokes, and had a scavenger hunt (written in pig latin) to find the dragon's treasure. <br /><br />The summer book club was a ton of fun. All the parents planned fun things for the boys and it was great motivation for Ben to keep up on his reading this summer. (I do need to add that we spent probably 3 hours each book just looking for the book--one we have never did find). I hope that we do it again next summer.<div style='clear:both; text-align:LEFT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-21611133298376262782008-08-31T15:36:00.000-07:002008-08-31T15:36:23.262-07:004th of July<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEgDQw5xy1lly3Y8aFnaI21Axb20NjIKHUr3HrjOwU5vtVeg-6mrgsoDm2EnlUSSx6XQULz5cLSBGjDpV1AO56kpPNa8a8mIzczIgYIN09O45zd21vC8EiUHHrqtKM7RWJk9_qzftg8L0/s1600-h/collage2.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEgDQw5xy1lly3Y8aFnaI21Axb20NjIKHUr3HrjOwU5vtVeg-6mrgsoDm2EnlUSSx6XQULz5cLSBGjDpV1AO56kpPNa8a8mIzczIgYIN09O45zd21vC8EiUHHrqtKM7RWJk9_qzftg8L0/s400/collage2.jpg" border="0" /></a> We spent the holiday with the Soursa's which is always lots of fun. Ben was VERY excited for the fireworks. This was Max and Sawyer's real first experience with them. Max was great about sitting on the curb and watching. Sawyer kept trying to stray into the street and touch, etc. Our neighbors the Maxfield's came over to light the fireworks (Corrine and Domonique). It was a great night and a wonderful way to celebrate our incredible freedoms here in the USA.<div style='clear:both; text-align:LEFT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-42291148608339632182008-08-31T15:23:00.000-07:002008-08-31T15:24:37.041-07:00Our garden<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_11dBpsuxCL1Zt8BThZcG3HiZne46n72J_U7kbXNcKYItEkjGIjx_YS94SyGU5aZG9EBpDduDref-k61Ats86KHiMeMTMpwGKpmAVj1uwJV6nSZ31P_S5lqnnHOTlhdXuQgzwhOITyWU/s1600-h/DSCN3726.JPG"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_11dBpsuxCL1Zt8BThZcG3HiZne46n72J_U7kbXNcKYItEkjGIjx_YS94SyGU5aZG9EBpDduDref-k61Ats86KHiMeMTMpwGKpmAVj1uwJV6nSZ31P_S5lqnnHOTlhdXuQgzwhOITyWU/s400/DSCN3726.JPG" border="0" /></a> Jason built garden boxes this year and we planted a garden. The boys thought it was a sandbox at first....and then they were plucking out the plants as I was planting them....so I fenced it. (If you look closely, you can see the mesh fence) Some people keep out deer and I have to keep out little boys. Sawyer will eat anything that resembles food in the yard. He has chewed on freshly picked zuccinini, grapes, peaches, but his favorite is to hunt out strawberries. He doesn't care if they are ripe or not. Ben likes to harvest the garden, but not to into eating the vegetables we grown there. Max is just Max and has squeezed his way in between the post several times to discover what he might be missing out on. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk5AquiNHGAZq7qeTbrjLsNH6tq1OaY-IGB0GOB2_r6wN_j6mVgtwVg4BSfVirjepeXNUAf96MOVSJjuiGvXAxgCe6liq2KjOq96E0BDJCwXcEzvVSeQfjR-UT4sbHYtqinDrLZ7hnFf4/s1600-h/DSCN3730.JPG"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk5AquiNHGAZq7qeTbrjLsNH6tq1OaY-IGB0GOB2_r6wN_j6mVgtwVg4BSfVirjepeXNUAf96MOVSJjuiGvXAxgCe6liq2KjOq96E0BDJCwXcEzvVSeQfjR-UT4sbHYtqinDrLZ7hnFf4/s400/DSCN3730.JPG" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3iuF_mwdQ9mkp_j9djJor44nXXtJj25l5DPOR7WSnpe8JcOqdRf_PawdXgYXyPJyq8UkXIMbdya80jeea60u7zjO4ehrz3904MoWwMer_tVzg9cFt7CQ89iM9I_qL_iI4w8pTPK0QA0g/s1600-h/DSCN3733.JPG"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3iuF_mwdQ9mkp_j9djJor44nXXtJj25l5DPOR7WSnpe8JcOqdRf_PawdXgYXyPJyq8UkXIMbdya80jeea60u7zjO4ehrz3904MoWwMer_tVzg9cFt7CQ89iM9I_qL_iI4w8pTPK0QA0g/s400/DSCN3733.JPG" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIAz4ys0lhRxZwQYl7t4C9Z9A3ZqyEuW-USeIcitUFWESt9cdDD_nlmsEIg_0EUesCzQ1ZEJxfw_M99vD9WLQoZbnt9T9zKlllq-VtB75kDwrLf5PBoI4XZQ2HiSr8x7AzW_mYv0HL9fU/s1600-h/DSCN3734.JPG"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIAz4ys0lhRxZwQYl7t4C9Z9A3ZqyEuW-USeIcitUFWESt9cdDD_nlmsEIg_0EUesCzQ1ZEJxfw_M99vD9WLQoZbnt9T9zKlllq-VtB75kDwrLf5PBoI4XZQ2HiSr8x7AzW_mYv0HL9fU/s400/DSCN3734.JPG" border="0" /></a><div style='clear:both; text-align:LEFT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-42550837530095330612008-06-10T22:15:00.000-07:002008-06-10T22:26:35.679-07:00Yes, I'll drive! So we left for Utah Friday afternoon. We did not leave until after 3 pm and got to Cedar City (to stay at GG's house) at 1 am. I started driving because Jason was going to have to drive in the late night. Jason normally is the passenger when the boys are sleeping. After about an hour of passing snacks, fixing the dvd, finding lost toys and sippies, Jason informed me that he "did not like this seat". I was thoroughly enjoying watching Jason try to settle in for a long winters nap only to be roused from his almost slumber by the boys yelling and expressing a new demand. Or Max pelting him with his grapes that had imperfections. As all mothers know, it is always enjoyable to watch your spouse get a full dose of "mothering". And I drove as far as I could until there was hope of the boys settling into the drive:)Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-25824792884222645032008-05-26T20:43:00.000-07:002008-05-26T20:44:03.553-07:00Our boys<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyX_EZqnmTjR__cVrW7QmydyuopEmDnss-_7xqjTKXCSz5DadaF7s5Iy4XSu9vlG0Cyecn1_J5EyQYGUlsw33Notvc2SWyUYHdStNbKTEGYNQE8E6-Mh9gDoeN7Ci6pRL_DVXF_Y2mWDs/s1600-h/DSCN3482.JPG"></a> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVZ-dbVSkOD7ImQCb9eq2T3GyrbS282nOTnzQa3VFIHMgN5XuKR_Hz74Wr_7J3b3PUhgByCgfQQUBSG7leMWLBZWKynCuMfMYy7LiKrrbvX9enDDEngmCSrpR0KvD9hK7m1EZPzB1O6NY/s1600-h/DSCN3486.JPG"></a> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPCXkVyDyk9ram7xhLCytQiFPKb9AvlyjuSuJhRghpCxwN4a2QMPab4oZ8w3DyGP44VaHf1KjM3XrWfZQGe3D0XeStLvs95VwCZqXy2ciIe9HGxCD2Lw3lEOqQeF_bq12AM7ZLY6B6uEs/s1600-h/DSCN3520.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_" style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPCXkVyDyk9ram7xhLCytQiFPKb9AvlyjuSuJhRghpCxwN4a2QMPab4oZ8w3DyGP44VaHf1KjM3XrWfZQGe3D0XeStLvs95VwCZqXy2ciIe9HGxCD2Lw3lEOqQeF_bq12AM7ZLY6B6uEs/s400/DSCN3520.JPG" border="0" /></a> They are all growing up. She lives very near the L.A. Arboritum (sp?) The boys were playing in the backyard with Jason and Max was following a peacock. The peacock flew up and attacked him with his tallons. Max is very blessed that he was hurt supperficially and does not to have had damaged to his eye. Monday we made a ginger bread house (or at least a graham cracker, cardboard and hotglue gun version). Ben enjoyed making it. Mostly he liked the huge bowls of frosting and candy which he had complete access to. Today Ben dropped a large wooden cutting board on his big toe. OUCH! That has slowed Ben down ... a little. Mostly he will be wearing sandals for a while until it heals up. Ben is getting excited for Christmas. His Christmas list he wrote at school includes roller skates, a skate board, a snowboard, and a reindeer (he said he wants to feed it lunch....). Ben continues to do great reading. It is very fun to listen to his progress. Ben has taken to writing love notes to our family. He has a very loving and affectionate side. Ben will start playing basketball at the NAZ church in January and keeps telling me he needs to be eating healthy food for his basketball. It is always fun to watch Ben do sports. He normally plays the whole court. He is kind of a one man team. His current favorite sport is soccer and due to the rain the past few days, he has taken to playing soccer with a small ball against the wall in the kitchen....and to think we have 3 boys.... Anyway, we love our sweet Ben and are grateful for him.Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-85774769095780577862007-12-19T20:19:00.000-08:002007-12-19T21:05:00.437-08:00SawyerHere is our sweet Sawyer. He has taken to pointing and talking lately. He has very specific ideas he is trying to communicate. If Sawyer wants something he is very clear on the matter and you get the message. He is very aware of where Max is and goes looking for him if he's not in the same room. The other day he tried to help Max get out of the tub. He can be very sweet to Max. Sometimes he gives Max toys he knows he likes. And I have even witnessed him trading out toys on occasion (... I want what you have, so why don't you take this ...) But mostly he is the aggressor and just takes what he wants. Max has taken to doing a full lunging (and unfortunately biting) tackle on Sawyer on occassion to protect his toys. Once the shock of the tackle wears off, Sawyer does not seem to be discouraged from getting what he wants. Sawyer is full of excitement and energy and has a smile that will melt your heart.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg028PgMTQLYT2TFWBgyEd51v3xGWY3H-h7-_fGHJHjC5DeJWdz0hwGzVivogCUq5iktPisEHVGWnV4ywdj7tXjXXSL5U0TRpXQ7SSV8Fv2Bbx2vTX7cH60f-gLKSH_RzA5NlCUNGcFpI/s1600-h/DSCN3183.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_" style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg028PgMTQLYT2TFWBgyEd51v3xGWY3H-h7-_fGHJHjC5DeJWdz0hwGzVivogCUq5iktPisEHVGWnV4ywdj7tXjXXSL5U0TRpXQ7SSV8Fv2Bbx2vTX7cH60f-gLKSH_RzA5NlCUNGcFpI/s320/DSCN3183.JPG" border="0" /></a> <div style="CLEAR: both; TEXT-ALIGN: right"><a href="http://picasa.google.com/blogger/" target="ext"><img style="BORDER-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: 0% 50%; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial" alt="Posted by Picasa" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif" align="middle" border="0" /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-84284540566061630452007-12-19T20:11:00.000-08:002007-12-19T20:11:34.161-08:00MaxBen helped me get these pictures of Max today. Ben is great at getting the boys to laugh. Anyway, Jason and I love these photos. They are so like Max. His hair is getting long and may be cut soon. But we still love it....so it stays. Max is doing great walking. He still is unsure of himself, but he does it. He holds his arms way up high when he walks. It is very cute. He is starting to thin out (a little) due to more movement. We will be sad to see his squishiness go. We often call him Mr. Squish. Today Max has a very sweet sounding husky voice. He has a little cold. Max is pure joy.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu3D_X0ejAZpKhyUnefvDmiAuUkphyq_pFc6hAr4imIjg2NYT6RduW4jmaXO_Gg8anZPstW3dmr4hmJf1XBxugKiArtaXf-WVS48NOMfnXDGY_JgKPYH7wuq694q7C7PUAIt5MPzhWGoU/s1600-h/collage2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_" style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu3D_X0ejAZpKhyUnefvDmiAuUkphyq_pFc6hAr4imIjg2NYT6RduW4jmaXO_Gg8anZPstW3dmr4hmJf1XBxugKiArtaXf-WVS48NOMfnXDGY_JgKPYH7wuq694q7C7PUAIt5MPzhWGoU/s400/collage2.jpg" border="0" /></a><div style='clear:both; text-align:LEFT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-70327806747025452972007-12-10T11:43:00.000-08:002007-12-10T11:48:03.244-08:00The past week....<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ-QdyIRwFZErluJsNlTuXReXdud-VE5ZSBR3VGEsN1yOrnXf6uODeI48NjuTUX7Yk4QByEBGQGjIgY_QhaFVTdYG6YokcuG6o67YvdjS8mDHiN__SrUkg3_8RvsyKKxvPcooFk9wXK68/s1600-h/collage1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ-QdyIRwFZErluJsNlTuXReXdud-VE5ZSBR3VGEsN1yOrnXf6uODeI48NjuTUX7Yk4QByEBGQGjIgY_QhaFVTdYG6YokcuG6o67YvdjS8mDHiN__SrUkg3_8RvsyKKxvPcooFk9wXK68/s400/collage1.jpg" border="0" /></a> Last Saturday we decorated the Christmas tree. Sawyer "helped" me put the ribbon on while Max finished his nap. Ben did a great job helping me put the ornaments on after the babies went to bed. Unfortunately, I was in such a hurry to get it done, I did not get a picture. Ben used the step stool and stood in one place to decorate. Most of his ornaments we "grouped" together. We had fun decorating. As you see in the pictures, the tree is surrounded by a large gate that we inherited from a friend. This has been VERY helpful. Max and (especially) Sawyer have been circling the tree all week. Sawyer has made off with a few glass ornaments and he goes running. Luckily, we have caught him every time and we think we now have everything moved out of reach. We often hear the whole tree go jingling which means Sawyer has a hold of a branch and is shaking the tree. We have a fake tree so we just go in and bend them all contorted so he can't reach them.<br /><br />Note the green broom. Sawyer has been hauling this around. He loves it. He hasn't yet used it to swat at the tree, but it's not Christmas yet..... Sawyer has also taken to eating with a plate. For several weeks now he has been quite adamant that he have a utensil when he eats (no matter what it is) and now often he wants a plate too. He seems to have stopped throwing them.<br /><br />The last picture is of Max. This little chair is in a corner behind kind of hidden in our Family Room. Max often goes and climbs into the chair. Last week I heard him talking and went to look and he was sitting in the chair reading a book. By the time I got back with the camera, he was on his way out. It was very cute. Max is really starting to do good walking. He is a cute walker. I have a great video clip I took on my camera and have been unable to get it on the blog. I will keep trying.<br /><br />Ben continues to do great. He has a busy schedule of school and play dates. He is a wonderful big brother and often makes the little boys laugh. Ben is in a discovery stage in regards to reading. I often hear him sounding out words he sees on signs when we are in the car. It must be nice to finally be able to read all of the words around you.<div style="clear: both;"><a href="http://picasa.google.com/blogger/" target="ext"><img src="http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif" alt="Posted by Picasa" style="border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" align="middle" border="0" /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7719397846240105836.post-16866130600748605212007-12-01T08:04:00.000-08:002007-12-05T10:59:54.160-08:00Ben's 6th Birthday-Star Wars<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6NENUo4d0OSFn66DIHuEwf6OUTccgrlE60uotVYZ-qp5tJR_hm7uUsiLe2fvtl8BAjmqt7y6oF1o4gxfQ_4XiDmH3We5pw23bzNhrrfehCBDApj48aejDf1dZhLuCMKmUnbEBAbTBfdI/s1600-r/collage.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8q3nlJ3lMaPkmy_tAom0hb70g2JVTJEi8TzEnCoUo4DFvCvxQNGYyyHFBJbdSDnYHPTb8Pb3rVvM6tK_5KbBVRC7LKIVzn2HAU4YK9KIQmzKV0ycpX-9QoE_AiXJupKRDMO3jKh_sz30/s400/collage.jpg" border="0" /></a> Yesterday was Ben's Birthday. It's hard to believe he's already 6 years old. I was remembering the day, back in Texas, when I went into long and very painful labor with him. It was very worth it. Anyway, Ben chose Star Wars for the theme. We made light sabers out of pool sticks and the boys beat eachother. That was really all the entertainment needed. We had games all centerd around Jedi training (mastering the force, using the light saber, shooting into a galaxy, an obstacle course and then the final battle was defeating the evil foe Darth Vader. This was Jason dressed up in a very home made costume. The boys attacked him viciously (evidently the training was excellent). I finally had to dive in and help get him off the floor. The boys had a great time. It was a lot of fun. Patty, of course, helped me to pull off a great party. She had lots of fun games and decor. Natalie and Kaylee Marsh came and played with Max and Sawyer in their room so they would not be trampled. The last picture is of Sawyer after the party (and just out of the bath) on clean up crew helping to vacuum. He wanted to take the vaccuum part to bed. So here is to another great birthday party. This one is going in the box and you will see it again in 5 years for the little boys.<div style="clear: both;"><a href="http://picasa.google.com/blogger/" target="ext"><img src="http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif" alt="Posted by Picasa" style="border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" align="middle" border="0" /></a></div>Stephanie Collettehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14400854307709069294noreply@blogger.com0
